The Foundation for Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA) welcomes the Education Minister Designate Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum as laudable following announcement from the flagstaff house on Thursday 21st January, 2021.

Dr. Adutwum has been at the forefront of transforming Ghana’s Education System with innovative ideas such as the double track to accommodate the Free Senior High School students, curriculum overhauling to make students more rounded and a champion of Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).

Interestingly, on the African Continent Dr. Adutwum delivered a key note address when FOSDA organized the Regional Education webinar on ‘Mitigating the Impact of COVID19 on Education in West Africa. He offered innovative policy proposal post-COVID 19 restrictions.

Even during his time as deputy minister of Education he was regarded by many Ghanaians as among the most performing ministers in President Akufo-Addo’s first term. FOSDA is hopeful that with this nomination will motivate him to deliver beyond expectation in the next four years.

FOSDA is happy for him and confident in his competence. We hope the best of him is yet to come.
