The Foundation for Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA) has organized a 2 day dialogue session in Accra to offer a platform to share ideas on improving Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) in Ghana.

The meeting brought together 15 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across 8 regions, representatives from the Ministry of Finance (Fiscal Decentralization Unit-FDU), representatives of the Internal Generated Fund (IGF) Unit of Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD), Non-Governmental Organizations and Community Based Organizations (CBOs).

The dialogue offered participants an opportunity to share innovative ideas and challenges they come face to face with in their day to day pursuit of domestic revenue.

Importantly, a monitoring plan was initiated to track how MMDAs would improve their domestic revenue following the lessons learnt and strategies to adapt to make it a reality…

Participants had the opportunity to make inputs and critique to the National IGF Strategy.
