We sadly announce the death of our Board Chair Prof Thomas Jaye. He was an indefatigable Pan Africanist. He saw the struggle in any corner of Africa as his battle and he stood this course till the end. Born in Liberia, He lived in Ethiopia, Soviet Union, the United Kingdom and Ghana. The The Foundation for Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA) is a non‐governmental organisation (NGO) established  in 2001 by a small group of diasporas concerned about the conflicts in West Africa at the end of the twentieth century.  FOSDA was formed to examine the causes of these conflicts and to further improve the capacity of African institutions and civil society organisations (CSOs) in the field of human security and development.
